A visually maximalist, narratively minimalist post-apocalyptic adrenaline rush of pure cinema, the fourth entry in this legendary franchise is a fever dream of insane action sequences, expertly cut by editor Margaret Sixel, ACE, who won the Oscar for her work. A deeply pleasurable assault on the senses that was deservingly hailed as a landmark in action cinema, Mad Max: Fury Road is the result of a filmmaker and his team who adventured to the cliff of madness and lived to give audiences a glimpse of what was over the edge.
