Picturehouse 441 and ACE are proud to be partnering on a series of live virtual Q&As as part of our mutual efforts to promote film literacy.
Join us for a Q&A with writer/director Chris Sanders & editor Mary Blee, as they discuss their 2024 animated science fiction adventure The Wild Robot. Veteran animator Chris Sanders returned to the medium in which he made his name for the first time in a decade with The Wild Robot. A visionary achievement about chosen family, motherhood, and the essential bonds shared by all living creatures, Sanders has once again created a work full of child-like wonder, profound empathy, and a typically resplendent visual style. Beautifully paced by editor Mary Blee and featuring an all-timer of a voice performance from Lupita Nyong’o, The Wild Robot is a new film that already feels like a classic.

This event will be a Live Zoom Webinar on Monday, December 2 at 8PM ET/5PM PT with two encore livestreams to follow on Vimeo.

Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior Q&A with Director/Co-writer George Miller (Zoom Event)

Zoom/Online see event description for link details, CA, United States

Picturehouse 441 and ACE are proud to be partnering on a series of live virtual Q&As as part of our mutual efforts to promote film literacy.
Join us for a Q&A with director/co-writer George Miller, as he discusses his 1981 post-apocalyptic action film Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. Long before Fury Road and Furiosa, George Miller redefined action cinema with his Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. Continuing the saga of Max Rockatansky through the wasteland of Earth, this film gave audiences a taste of the cinematic mastery that Miller would continue to display over the ensuing four decades. Bigger, crazier, and more exhilarating than its tiny-budgeted predecessor. Edited by David Stiven, Tim Welburn and Michael Balson, this film is everything a sequel should be and is rightfully considered one of the greatest films of the 1980s.

This event will be a Live Zoom Webinar on Thursday, December 5 at 8PM ET/5PM PT with two encore livestreams to follow on Vimeo.
