Join ACE for a screening of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee followed by a Q&A with editor Sabine Hoffman, ACE, and director Rebecca Miller
Metrograph 7 Ludlow St, New York, NYThe next "American Cinema Editors Presents" is a screening of ... The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, the 2009 romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Rebecca Miller and edited by Sabine Hoffman, ACE. This film will be shown in 35mm and the post screening Q&A will feature a discussion between Miller and Hoffman.
Buoyed by a suite of stellar performances, Miller’s romantic drama sees Robin Wright Penn’s Pippa Lee forced to confront her troubled past after it bubbles to the surface. Following her move, with her much-older husband Herb (Alan Arkin), a celebrated publisher, to a retirement community. Inching toward personal breakdown, she finds a confidante in her neighbor’s son Keanu Reeves. Blake Lively, Zoe Kazan, Julianne Moore, Monica Belluci and Winona Ryder round out the very fine ensemble cast.
