Dear ACE members,
With protests against racism and inequality raging across our country, there are important changes needed within our broken system of justice. As protests expand here and throughout the world, the issues relating to our industry getting back to work may seem far less important by comparison. However, as our industry prepares to gradually resume production, the pandemic still looms over our safe return to work. An industry-wide Labor-Management Committee Task Force is currently working on proposed guidelines for resuming production. The safety of workers and performers, and how to implement compliance of safety protocols, is of great concern. The ACE Board of Directors is reaching out to our membership with a survey to learn more about your current situation so that we can be more responsive to your needs.
The Editors Guild sent out a survey to each classification to collect information, primarily dealing with members’ safety. Even if you responded to the Guild’s survey, please respond to this one. The ACE survey deals with additional issues that will have a specific value to the ACE membership. The ACE Board would like to get an accurate picture of how many of our members have been working from home. We want to explore the various remote technologies that are being used to keep our members safe, how these could apply to the “return to work” phase, and the future of working from home after the pandemic is over.
Please click HERE to participate. The more people that respond, the more accurate and helpful the data will be. If you choose not to include your name, you can fill out the survey anonymously. The answers to these questions will help better understand how we, as an organization, can best serve our membership.
Stay safe and well.
Thank you,
Stephen Rivkin, ACE President
& the ACE Board of Directors
