Picturehouse 441 and ACE are proud to be partnering on a series of live virtual Q&As as part of our mutual efforts to promote film literacy. Join us for a Q&A with writer/director Jack Hill, as he discusses his 1974 action film Foxy Brown. After teaming up for the acclaimed Coffy, filmmaker Jack Hill and star Pam Grier reunited for the wildly entertaining Foxy Brown. Proving once again that Pam Grier is a force of nature onscreen, this film about a woman who goes out for revenge against the drug dealers who killed her boyfriend is a subversive feminist statement under the guise of a standard blaxploitation film. A major influence on countless subsequent films including Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown (which also starred Pam Grier), this wonderful original holds up beautifully as a glorious ode to female power.
